Dear Sardis Members and Friends,
Ecclesiastes says “There is a time for love and a time for hate” and I need to be able to say that I hate it that we are having to cancel all in-person church activities for Sunday. Out of love, I so wish that we could get together to talk about our fears or uncertainties and remind one another of our hope in Jesus Christ and our certainty of God’s love.
Also out of love, I am absolutely sure this is the right thing to do.
You still can experience Sardis Sunday worship on Facebook Live at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. as previously promoted. It will probably be a little weird for you. It’s going to be really weird for me and the other worship leaders not having you here with us.
All other church activities this Sunday and beyond are cancelled until further notice. A decision on the Sardis Weekday School is in process.
More information will be coming to you about next week, but please be patient as we focus first on the challenge of praising God together without actually being together this Sunday.
We already have ideas about other ways to Explore Faith and Change Lives without being together in person for a little while. You’ll hear them soon. If you need something from your church in the meantime, make sure we hear from you soon.
Peace in Christ,
