The Sanctuary Choir includes people of diverse musical backgrounds. This ensemble comes together weekly to prepare anthems for our 11:00am worship service from September through June. The singers appreciate the opportunity to learn more extended choral works and participate in community events. In 2020, singers from Sardis will take Poulenc’s Gloria to Carnegie Hall in New York.

Sundays, 8:00 a.m.
Steven Pappas
The Praise Band consists of keys, guitars, singers, and drums and provides music to support the Contemporary Worship Service. We are always in search of talent that would lend itself to this style of music.

Wednesdays, 9:30–11:00 a.m.

Alpha Ringers is a handbell choir that has a long history at Sardis, and offers a low-stress musical outlet in the middle of the week.

The Jubilate Ringers (youth grades 6 – 12) have fun exploring new ways of making music, with handbells, while preparing pieces for worship. This ensemble is open to all 6 – 12th grade students and will meet in the Administration Building on Sundays from 4:30 - 5:15 p.m.

Sundays, 5:15 p.m.

The Agape Singers (youth grades 6 – 12) join together weekly and use their voices to grow musically and spiritually together. We share in musical leadership during worship and have opportunities to reach out, through song, in the community. Come and explore how we can use our musical gifts as an offering to God. Youth are welcome to join us on Sunday evenings from 5:15 - 6:00 p.m. after Jubilate Bells.

Wednesdays, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Singing in a children's choir is one of the first opportunities a child has to serve God in the church. Participation in children’s choir will empower our young worshippers to discover their roles as active participants in worship at Sardis. The Young Singers learn to develop a foundation in singing in an ensemble, scripture through song, and what it means to offer songs of praise in worship. Reading music is reinforced through playing chimes, rhythmic instruments, and relevant games. The Children's Choir participates in worship services from October through May. We would love to include all children K – 5th grade. It is our hope that the children that come to us feel uniquely cherished and enjoy their time together.

In addition, our music ministry includes the Throne Together Men’s Ensemble, and Jericho Brass.
Throne Together provides entertainment for special events throughout the year both on and off campus, including Christmas Dinner, Friendship Connection, outside fellowship activities, and concerts at local retirement facilities. They may also be heard singing national anthems at Hornets Games, Knights baseball, Checkers Hockey, and more…

Jericho Brass is a 15-piece brass ensemble that is in residence here at Sardis, conducted by Dr. Bennett Lentczner. They offer enhancement to worship services occasionally, throughout the year.
