Sardis will be hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Sunday, February 28 at 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Before Your Donation:
Make sure you have iron-rich foods, such as red meat, fish, poultry, beans, spinach, iron-fortified cereals or raisins, drink extra liquids, and get a good night’s sleep the night before your donation
The Day of Your Donation:
Remember to bring your ID and medication list. Wear a shirt with sleeves that you can roll up above your elbows. While you are donating, just relax and feel free to listen to music, read, or talk to other donors.
After Your Donation:
Relax for a few minutes and have some cookies or other snacks. Drink an extra four (8 oz.) glasses of liquids and avoid alcohol over the next 24 hours.
