We are very excited about our upcoming 2025 Sardis Women’s Retreat that is scheduled for Feb. 21-23. It promises to be a weekend filled with fellowship, meaningful activities, enriching sessions and time away to reflect and renew. Whether this would be your first time attending, or you have attended many times in the past, this is the year to come! We will be immersed in the message of “Anchored in Hope”.
Location:
We will spend the weekend in Montreat, NC. While hurricane damage has led to some repairs and renovations, we’re excited to expand our activities across additional facilities this year. Our available spaces include:
*William Black Lodge: the newly renovated living room, kitchen and dining rooms as well as 2nd and 3rd floor rooms. We will be together here for all meals.
*Assembly Inn (next to WBL) rooms. The rooms at Assembly Inn are similar to those at WBL, except with central heat and air and they are all accessible without having to navigate stairs!
*Freeland Hall (which is just down from WBL) is where we’ll be together for all sessions, activities, and worship.
Please Note: We will provide shuttle rides as needed to and from venues.
How will we get there?
We have a few transportation options. During the registration process, please select which you will be using:
*Church Bus (limited seating)
*Drive Yourself
*Drive a Carpool (indicate how many passengers you can take in your registration)
*Ride in a Carpool
What will we do?
* Guest speaker, Rev. Laurie Weicher, Associate Pastor at First Presbyterian Church Raleigh, will be leading us in our sessions centering around our theme, Anchored in Hope.
* Small Group Sessions
* Fun Activities & Games
* Free Time for rest, hiking, shopping, etc.
* Mission Project at Black Mountain Presbyterian Church: sorting and organizing of clothing donations. For those that may not be up to the task, we will have note cards available back at the lodge for you to write notes of hope and encouragement.
