Sardis and Trinity Presbyterian Churches are once again joining together for a fall mission trip to Western North Carolina to support ongoing rebuilding efforts following Hurricane Helene. We will partner with Fuller Center Disaster Rebuilders, who are actively working to rebuild and repair homes in Black Mountain and Swannanoa, NC.

Who Can Attend?
Adults and youth ages 16 and older are welcome. Youth must be accompanied by a parent. Spots are limited — sign up early to reserve yours!

Trip Details
Dates: November 29 – December 5, 2026

Departure: Mid-day on November 29; arrive in Montreat in time for dinner and orientation
Last Work Day: Friday, December 4
Return: Saturday, December 5
Housing: One of the lodges in Montreat, NC
Cost: $200 per participant

What Skills or Gifts Do I Need?
None required! Construction or handy skills are a bonus, but all you truly need is a willing spirit and an able body. Skilled workers will be on-site to guide the team.

What Kind of Work Will We Do?
Most mucking and gutting of homes is complete. Current work focuses on rehab of flood-damaged homes, including insulation, drywall, flooring, doors, cabinets, vanities, trim, and painting — with some additional work possible as efforts expand into new areas.
