Hello! My name is Kristen and I am the new SWS Director. I am eager to meet with you and get to know all of you! I grew up in Philadelphia, but I call North Carolina home. I graduated from UNC-Greensboro with a BA in Psychology and received M.DIV w/ Christian Education from Southeastern Baptist Seminary. I currently have administrative certification as a level 3 Director in Early Childhood Education.

I began my career working in a church as a children’s pastor. After 12 years of ministering to children, youth, and young adults, I had an amazing opportunity to go overseas to work at an American Christian International School as the School Principal. When I returned to North Carolina, my passionate desire to work with children led me to several private preschools where I served as the School Director/ Principal for the past 7 years.

I have always loved working with children of all ages, especially the preschool age. I love to see the world through their eyes. They remind me of how amazing and exciting and fun the world can be. They are full of imagination and creativity and make me happier and more positive about life. Their sweet smiles and laughter make my day brighter and more beautiful.

I love to watch the children grow and develop into confident and self-sufficient learners.

When I am not working at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I love hiking, playing the piano, painting, and photography.
