Sardis and Trinity Presbyterian Churches are partnering together again for a fall mission trip and this time we are headed to Western, NC to be a part of the rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Helene. Join us for this rebuilding mission trip on October 5-10, 2025. We will be working with Fuller Center Disaster Rebuilders who is actively working to rebuild and repair homes in Black Mountain and Swannanoa, NC.

Who Can Attend?
Adults plus youth who are 16 years or older. (Youth must attend with a parent). Limited spots are available so please sign up soon to reserve your spot. Sign up deadline August 1, 2025.

When Are We Going?
October 5-11. We will depart mid-afternoon for Montreat, NC to arrive in time for dinner and orientation. The last work day is Friday, October 10 and we will return home on October 11.
If you can only come for part of the week, you can indicate that on the sign up form.

How Much Will The Trip Cost?
$150 per participant.
Once you sign up through Sardis we will send you a direct link to pay online through Fuller Center Disaster Rebuilders and fill out their required participant information form online.

What Skills or Gifts Do I Need?
If you are handy or have construction skills that is bonus but not required! There will be skilled folks working with us so even if you just have an able body and are willing to help, you should come with us!

What Kind of Work Will We Do?
Most of the work to muck/gut homes is complete, however there may be some additional work as we move into unreached areas.  Currently we are doing rehabs that have been flooded, which requires insulating, drywalling, floors and doors, cabinets and vanities, trimming, and painting.   Want to come along to help cook and prepare meals for the group instead of working on the rebuilding sites? We need at least one sardis member to partner with a Trinity volunteer to cook.

Where Will We Stay?
We will be housed at the Hickory Lodge in Montreat, NC.
